      This book is all about how to create simplicity into your website. Nielson focuses on sites that are text intensive as opposed to sites that are graphic intensive.

      An excellent book about usability and especially navigational concepts.  
         
         
      Graphic Design Cookbook

      If you are stuck for a design layout, consult this book for shapes, type treatments and spatial treatments.  
         
         
      Information Architecture for the World Wide Web

      Web Design Workshop

      A good introduction to the web process. I especially enjoyed the rational of how to slice photoshop compositions and integrate them into HTML using Dreamweaver.  
         
         
      Web Redesign/Workflow that Works

      An excellent book about project management. This book describes how to plan, design, and launch your website. It includes sections on budgeting, scheduling, testing, and client relations.  
         
         
      Web Style Guide  
      Patrick Lynch and Sarah Horton  
      ISBN: 0-3000-07675-4  
      A book about how to design a web site using basic design principles. The best thing I learned from this book was how to layout a table so that it will print on a standard letter size page.

      A detailed book explaining how to use photoshop and imageready. Lots of pictures and easy to understand. (Yes, this really is the title of the book.)
